Carrie Anne Magnuson
Carrie is a longtime consultant and business analyst who has worked around the globe to deploy strategic business processes into the cloud and empower organizations to more effectively react and adapt to their ever-evolving marketplace. Carrie has experience working in a variety of capacities within multiple industries, including healthcare, microfinance, higher education, real estate, non-profit and social enterprise.
Carrie has significant experience within the Salesforce.com platform. She has designed and built custom solutions for Street Soccer USA, Help USA, The Microfinance Information Exchange (The MIX), Greenway Medical, VisionSpring, mothers2mothers, Kellogg Fellows Leadership Association (KFLA), Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) among many others. She has provided extensive consultancy services to Salesforce partner, CodeScience.
Carrie has a broad background in economic development solutions for non-profit organizations and social enterprises. Carrie spent two years working for VisionSpring, a social enterprise dedicated to training entrepreneurs to start their own micro-franchises selling low-cost reading glasses. She traveled throughout Africa and Latin America in order to train entrepreneurs and perform feasibility studies for potential partners. Prior to joining VisionSpring, Carrie lived in Guatemala, serving as Regional Coordinator and then Country Director for Community Enterprise Solutions, a non-profit organization that creates sustainable work opportunities through micro-consignment and other small business ventures. Through her work with Community Enterprise Solutions in Guatemala and globally with VisionSpring, Carrie gained valuable experience working in rural settings with limited infrastructure and resources. She has developed innovative marketing and sales strategies for rural entrepreneurs and has helped many entrepreneurs to establish and grow their businesses through training and support.
Carrie has been working with Street Soccer USA for a number of years as a volunteer and more recently has been an integral part of the leadership team that produces the Street Soccer USA National Cup in Times Square and The Steve Nash Foundation Showdown each summer.
Carrie received her B.S. in Business Administration and B.A. in Geography from Miami University in Ohio and speaks Spanish fluently. Now living in Denver, she has lived and worked in such diverse locations as New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Guatemala, and Ecuador. When not working, Carrie is usually on the move, traveling, skiing, hiking, biking or practicing yoga.
